
I’m quite picky when it comes to green smoothies: Either they are too sweet or too bitter, the ingredient list is too long, … Can you relate?
This recipe, however, is exactly what I was looking for: A few ingredients that you can find anywhere, a slight sweetness and a powerhouse of nutrients. Try it out – it’s perfect as a quick breakfast or snack!
Health Facts
Hemp seeds are full of essential amino acids and THE protein source for anyone who doesn’t eat animal products. They also contain a lot of vitamin B1, B2 and E, magnesium, calcium as well as omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acid. Spinach is full of iron and zinc and bananas contain lots of potassium and magnesium – perfect for people that are active!
Ingredients (2 servings)
1 cup plant based milk (I love almond and soy milk)
1-2 hands full of spinach
2 frozen bananas
2 pitted dates
2 TB hemp seeds
Directions
Add all ingredients to a blender and blend on high until creamy and smooth. Enjoy!
